Fontodi's Vinsanto del Chianti Classico DOC 2013 is a rare nectar that celebrates Tuscan tradition, born from the expert union of Malvasia and Sangiovese in the renowned Conca d'Oro in Panzano. The grapes, organically grown and dried for five months on mats, are transformed into a golden passito with amber reflections, releasing an intense bouquet of honey, toasted almonds, dried figs and broom flowers. Aged for six years in French oak and chestnut barrels, it offers an enveloping and velvety palate, where sweetness balances with lively acidity, culminating in a warm and persistent finish. A meditation wine or to pair with refined desserts, which embodies the essence of a centuries-old winemaking art.
Organic Production Method , spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts after natural drying of the grapes for 5 months on mats, must transferred to 50 and 110 litre French oak and chestnut barrels using the “mother” (lees from previous productions), maturation for 6 years in barrels, bottling without filtration
