Antinori's Tignanello Toscana IGT 2010 is a wine that blends tradition and innovation from the historic Tignanello Estate. The 2010 vintage is considered one of the finest in the history of this wine, thanks to a climate that led to a slow and balanced ripening, with spring rains and cool temperatures followed by a favorable summer. Made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grown on calcareous and tuffaceous soils at 350-400 meters above sea level, this intense ruby red with violet highlights releases a complex bouquet of morello cherry, wild berries, balsamic mint, and dark spices, with a touch of dark chocolate. Aged for 14-16 months in barrique, it offers a harmonious and vibrant palate, with smooth tannins, integrated freshness, and an elegant minerality that lingers on the long finish. A legendary Supertuscan, perfect for celebrating the present or preserving as a work of winemaking art.
Production Method Conventional, fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature for 10-12 days, maceration on the skins for a further 10 days, malolactic fermentation in French and Hungarian oak barriques (new and second passage), maturation 14-16 months in barrique, aging 12 months in bottle
