Antinori's Grappa Tignanello is a luxury spirit that celebrates the legacy of the famous Tignanello wine, produced from selected pomace of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Transparent and crystalline in color, it releases an intense and complex bouquet of ripe fruit, cherries in alcohol, sweet spices and floral notes, with a hint of vanilla and cocoa deriving from the refinement process. On the palate it is soft and velvety, with a perfect balance between alcoholic strength and aromatic finesse, closing with a long and warm finish. Carefully distilled at the Nannoni Distillery, this grappa is a refined sensory experience, ideal for after-dinner tastings or as an exclusive gift for lovers of high-end spirits.
Production Method The grappa is obtained from the fresh pomace of Tignanello, a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, collected immediately after pressing the grapes on the Tignanello estate, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The pomace is transported to the Nannoni Distillery in Gaiole in Chianti, where it undergoes a double distillation in discontinuous steam stills, a traditional method that preserves the varietal aromas. The process includes a slow distillation to separate the heads and tails, keeping only the heart of the distillate. The grappa then ages for a few months in stainless steel tanks to stabilize, without the use of wood, to enhance the purity of the original aromas, before bottling.
Pairings : Smooth tasting at the end of a meal, dark chocolate, dry desserts such as cantucci, or as an accompaniment to blue cheeses.
