Antinori's Il Bruciato Bolgheri Magnum 2024 DOC embodies the elegance and power of the Bolgheri terroir, produced on the Guado al Tasso estate. This intense ruby red with violet highlights releases a rich bouquet of blackberry, cassis, black pepper, and sweet spices, with hints of Mediterranean scrub and cocoa. Aged for eight months in barrique, it offers a soft and enveloping palate, with well-integrated tannins and a warm, persistent finish. The warm yet well-managed 2023 vintage gives this magnum a robust structure and immediate drinkability, with aging potential through 2038, making it perfect for special occasions or for the cellar of a wine connoisseur. The magnum format favors a slower and more complex evolution.
Production Method: The grapes come from the Guado al Tasso estate vineyards, located on sandy-clay soils with a western exposure, at 50-100 meters above sea level, influenced by sea breezes. Manual harvest in September, with double selection of the grapes. Separate fermentation by variety in stainless steel at 28-30°C for 10-15 days, with maceration on the skins for 10-15 days. A portion of the Merlot and Syrah ferments at lower temperatures to preserve the aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 8 months in French oak barriques (20% new), followed by 4 months in bottle. The Magnum format (limited production) enhances the wine's evolution.
Pairings: Grilled meat, pasta with meat sauce, medium-aged cheeses, light game.
