Monte dei Ragni 's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018 expresses the intensity of the Valpolicella Classica hills and the meticulous craftsmanship of the winery in its bottle. In the glass, the color is a deep, almost impenetrable red, a prelude to a rich and layered bouquet of ripe plum, wild blackberry, sweet spices (cocoa, vanilla), dark herbs, and a balsamic touch that accentuates its personality. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with soft yet present tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish that leaves traces of black cherry, dark chocolate, and a mineral aftertaste. A wine designed to provide great satisfaction both today and after a few years in the cellar.
Conventional Production Method : The grapes are dried according to Amarone tradition in the classic Valpolicella Classica area. The harvest is manual with rigorous bunch selection. After drying, the grapes ferment spontaneously and with prolonged maceration in steel tanks, and the wine is aged in large oak barrels for a long period (several years) before being released to the market.
Pairings: A powerful wine, perfect with rich, structured dishes: braised beef, game, stewed wild boar, rich roasts, and mature, pungent cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine for special occasions or to pair with tobacco, dark chocolate, and slow tastings.
