Tiezzi 's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Soccorso 2019 DOCG is an elite wine, the fruit of the most rigorous selection from the "Vigna Soccorso" vineyard, a high-altitude site with marl-galestro soil, expertly restored by the producer. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby color, verging on garnet, a sign of depth and maturation. Complex aromas emerge on the nose: black cherry, dark berries, licorice, menthol notes and aromatic herbs, sweet tobacco, and earthy hints that guide the bouquet towards a refined verticality. On the palate, it reveals itself as elegant and structured: finely textured yet present tannins, vibrant acidity that lends momentum, a full and persistent sip with a long, minerally, and beautifully balanced finish. It is a wine designed to evolve in the bottle and for those seeking a meditative tasting experience.
Conventional Production Method . The grapes are 100% Sangiovese, sourced from the "Vigna Soccorso" vineyard, located at an altitude of around 530 m above sea level, on soils of sandstone, marl, and volcanic sand. The harvest is exclusively manual, with rigorous bunch selection. Fermentation takes place without temperature control, in traditional tanks (spontaneous fermentation, prolonged maceration for approximately 4 weeks) according to the winery's classic style. The wine then ages for a very long time: approximately 42 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (10-40 hl) before being bottled.
Pairings: Perfect with rich, structured dishes: braised beef, game dishes (wild boar, venison), complex roasts, roast lamb, and very mature cheeses. Also ideal with dishes featuring truffles and ripe porcini mushrooms. Serve slowly, preferably decanted, and on special occasions.
