Cappellano’s Barolo Pie Franco 2019 is a rare gem, produced from ungrafted vines in the Gabutti cru, a one-of-a-kind in the Barolo panorama. This intense garnet red releases an extraordinary bouquet of red fruits, wild rose, wet earth and fine spices, with a complexity that evolves in the glass. Aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, it offers a palate of rare elegance, with vibrant tannins and a pure minerality that lingers in an interminable finish. Production Method: Organic, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats for 20-30 days with maceration on the skins, maturation 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels of 20-40 hl, refinement in bottle for at least 12 months
