Luigi Pira's Barolo Vignarionda 2020 is an icon of Serralunga d'Alba, born from one hectare of the legendary Vigna Rionda cru, planted in 1994 on calcareous and clayey soils. This intense ruby red with garnet reflections releases a complex bouquet of raspberry, dog rose, sweet tobacco and balsamic notes, with a mineral undertone that recalls the Sulcis land. Aged for 24 months between barriques and large barrels, it offers a robust and harmonious palate, with dense but elegant tannins and a very long persistence. A Barolo of extraordinary power and refinement, destined to evolve magnificently for decades.
Production Method: Conventional, fermentation in horizontal stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 12-15 days, maceration on the skins, aging for 24 months (12 months in 225 and 500 litre French oak barriques, 12 months in large 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels), further aging in the bottle
