Vietti’s Barolo Lazzarito 2019 comes from the Serralunga cru, a 2-hectare amphitheater with limestone soils. This intense ruby red with garnet highlights offers a bouquet of hay, tobacco, white pepper and wild mint. Aged 30 months in large barrels, it is robust and austere, with deep tannins and a taut, mineral finish. A Barolo with great structure, to be awaited with patience.
