GD Vajra’s 2019 Barolo Bricco delle Viole is an ode to finesse, hailing from the highest vineyard in the Barolo commune, at 400-480 meters, with vines planted in 1949 on calcareous marl soils. This bright ruby red offers a mesmerizing bouquet of violet petals, raspberry, lavender and a touch of pine, with a crystalline minerality. Aged for 30-32 months in large oak barrels, it presents a balanced and silky palate, chiseled tannins and a fresh and persistent finish. A sophisticated Barolo, ideal for those seeking aromatics and longevity.
