Collemassari’s Brunello Poggio di Sotto 2016 is an icon of Montalcino, a wine that combines power and grace from organic vineyards in Castelnuovo dell’Abate. This deep ruby red releases a complex bouquet of black cherry, violet, leather and fine spices, with a minerality that recalls the stony soil. Aged for 36 months in large oak barrels, it offers a full and velvety palate, with well-defined tannins and a long, balsamic finish. The 2016 vintage, considered perfect, gives this Brunello extraordinary concentration and exceptional aging potential.

Production Method: Organic, manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats for 20-25 days, aging for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, refinement in bottle for 12 months.

Pairings: Stewed wild boar, steak, mature cheeses
