Giovanni Montisci's Barrosu 2023 is a Cannonau di Sardegna that embodies the power and authenticity of Mamoiada, produced from 80-year-old vines on granite soils. This intense ruby red offers a bouquet of blackberry, ripe cherry, myrtle and sweet spices, with a mineral note that recalls the Sardinian land. Aged for 12 months in used oak barrels, it stands out for a warm and enveloping palate, with soft tannins and a long and spicy finish. The 2023 vintage, warm but well-managed, gives this wine an important structure and immediate drinkability, while still having excellent aging potential.
Production Method Organic, manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation in steel for 15-20 days, aging 12 months in used oak barrels, bottling without filtration, production limited to approximately 4000 bottles.
