Bartolo Mascarello 2020 Magnum Barolo is a statement of nobility and tradition in a large format. In the glass, it presents a deep and luminous garnet color, evolving on the palate into an expression of harmony and power. The bouquet is refined and complex: dried rose, violet, ripe cherry, and berries intertwine with earthy notes, delicate spices, tobacco, a hint of white pepper, and mineral nuances. On the palate, it displays classic elegance with fine, well-melted tannins, a good balance between structure and freshness, and a long, harmonious finish. The magnum version amplifies the slow evolution, favoring a more gentle maturation over time and greater aromatic integration.

Conventional Production Method , Bartolo Mascarello's Barolo is made from a historic blend of 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the vineyards of Cannubi, San Lorenzo, and Rué in the municipality of Barolo, and Rocche dell'Annunziata in La Morra. The harvest is strictly manual, with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in cement/traditional tanks using the classic method, with long maceration (about 55 days in 2020) under a submerged cap. The aging is long and traditional: approximately 30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels , followed by bottle aging before release.

Pairings: Enjoy it with important Piedmontese and Italian dishes: braised meats, roasts, game, venison, stewed lamb, rich stews, ossobuco, truffles, and aged cheeses. It's ideal for special occasions and slow tastings, where every sip can tell the tale.
