Bruno Giacosa’s Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche 2019 is a wine of extraordinary refinement, sourced from the Vigna Le Rocche parcel in the Falletto cru in Serralunga d’Alba, where 47-year-old vines on calcareous marl soils give life to a unique expression of Nebbiolo. This intense ruby red with garnet highlights offers a rich and complex bouquet of rose, blackcurrant, raspberry and pomegranate, with nuances of balsamic herbs and minerals. Aged for 30 months in large French oak barrels, it stands out for its elegant and austere structure, silky tannins and extraordinary persistence. A Barolo that embodies Giacosa’s perfection, ideal for long aging or to celebrate special occasions.
Production Method: Conventional, spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks for 20-30 days with maceration on the skins, maturation for 30 months in large French oak barrels of 25-50 hl, refinement in bottle for at least 12 months
Pairings: Game, braised meat in Barolo, aged cheeses
