Bruno Giacosa’s Barolo Falletto 2019 is made from the entire Falletto cru in Serralunga d’Alba, a 10.5-hectare vineyard on south-west slopes of calcareous marl. This ruby red with garnet hues releases an intense bouquet of ripe cherry, violet, fine spices and a touch of wet earth. Aged for 30 months in large oak barrels, it offers a harmonious and structured palate, with well-balanced tannins and a freshness that prolongs the finish. A Barolo that reflects Giacosa’s timeless elegance, perfect to accompany important dishes or for aging that will reveal further facets.
Production Method: Conventional, spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks for 20-30 days with maceration on the skins, maturation for 30 months in large French oak barrels of 25-50 hl, refinement in bottle for at least 12 months
Pairings: Red meats, game, mature cheeses
