Elio Altare’s Barolo Ceretta Riserva Vigna Bricco 2017 is a wine with great personality, born from the Ceretta cru in Serralunga d’Alba, on soils rich in marl and limestone. This intense garnet red releases an enveloping bouquet of ripe cherry, plum, sweet spices and a touch of vanilla from the aging in barrique. Matured for 24 months in new French oak and further refined in the bottle for at least 36 months, it offers a powerful and silky palate, with soft tannins and a long and spicy finish. A Barolo Riserva with a modern style, perfect for those seeking elegance and immediate structure, with considerable aging potential.
Production Method: Conventional, fermentation in steel rotofermenters for 4-6 days with frequent pumping over, maturation 24 months in new French oak barriques, refinement in bottle for at least 36 months
Pairings: Grilled red meats, game, mature cheeses
