Produced by the Benromach distillery under the guidance of Gordon & MacPhail, this deep golden whisky offers an enveloping bouquet of baked apple, sherry, toasted malt and light peat, with hints of cinnamon and citrus. Matured for 10 years, 9 in ex-bourbon casks and 1 in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, it offers a smooth and complex palate, with notes of dried fruit, chocolate and a warm, spicy finish. Production Method Distilled in traditional copper stills, using malted barley lightly smoked with peat (12ppm). Matured for 9 years in first and second fill ex-bourbon casks, followed by 1 year in ex-sherry Oloroso casks. Bottled at 43% vol without chill filtration.
