Tiezzi 's Rosso di Montalcino Poggio Cerrino 2024 DOC is a young wine yet already rich in character, accurately reflecting Montalcino's elevated terroir. In the glass, it displays a vibrant and brilliant ruby color, a prelude to a bouquet dominated by fresh red fruits—cherry, raspberry—combined with subtle notes of plum and delicate nuances of licorice. On the palate, it is harmonious and well-balanced, with gentle tannins, good acidity, and a clean, savory finish that invites another sip. An excellent expression of Sangiovese that is well suited to being enjoyed today, but also offers satisfaction if cellared for several years.

Conventional Production Method . The grapes are 100% Sangiovese, sourced from the "Poggio Cerrino" vineyard located at approximately 350 meters above sea level, with a northeastern exposure and sandy soils mixed with clay and schist. The harvest is manual, with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in steel or concrete tanks, with prolonged maceration on the skins for approximately 18-20 days. The wine ages for approximately 12-18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (10-40 hl) before bottling.

Pairings: Ideal with rustic first courses such as pappardelle with ragù, roast white meats, lightly grilled beef, Tuscan cured meats, and semi-mature cheeses. Also perfect for a casual yet refined dinner where an elegant and approachable wine is desired.
