Montevertine's Le Pergole Torte 2021 is a triumph of power and refinement, a pure Sangiovese that embodies the wild soul of Radda in Chianti. Forged from historic vines on sandstone soils at 425 meters above sea level, this intense ruby red reveals a magnetic bouquet of dark red fruits, lavender, mint and blood orange peel, the result of spontaneous fermentation and 24 months of aging in Slavonian barrels and Allier barriques. The Torte Pergolas
Produced for the first time in the 1977 vintage, it was the first pure Sangiovese vinified in our area of Radda in Chianti. The grapes come from our historic vineyards, planted between 1968 and 1999.
Production Method Conventional, spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks for 25 days, malolactic in concrete, maturation 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels and 12 months in Allier barriques.
