Antinori's Pèppoli Chianti Classico 2023 is a wine that expresses the essence of Sangiovese and the Chianti Classico territory, produced on the Pèppoli estate, 5 km from Tignanello. This ruby red with violet reflections offers a bouquet of cherry, raspberry and strawberry, with floral notes of violet and nuances of aromatic herbs and sweet spices. Aged for 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels and a small part in barrique, it stands out for a vibrant and savory palate, with soft tannins and a fresh and persistent finish. The 2023 vintage, warm but well-managed, makes this wine a versatile classic, ideal for those looking for an authentic and ready-to-drink Chianti, with a touch of elegance.

Production Method The grapes, mainly Sangiovese with small percentages of Merlot and Syrah, come from the 50 hectares of vineyards of the Pèppoli estate, on stony soils rich in minerals, with east/northeast exposure. Manual harvest, fermentation in steel at 26-28 °C for 7 days for the Sangiovese and 12-15 days for the complementary varieties, with maceration to extract soft tannins. After malolactic fermentation, completed by winter, the wine ages for 9 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (80%) and in barrique and steel (20%), followed by a short period in the bottle.

Pairings Tasty first courses such as tagliatelle with ragù, legume soups, white meats, Tuscan cured meats.
